Communications Ministries

Card Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to touch, in a personal way, the lives of the brethren by showing thoughtfulness and encouragement in their times of illness and bereavement, and to celebrate with them on the happy occasions of birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc.

To serve in this ministry or if you have any special needs that the card ministry could fill, please contact the church office.

Newsletter Ministry

The purpose of the newsletter, published every other month, is to provide a practical way to inform and encourage the brethren at Grace Covenant Church. The church newsletter provides a place for regular attendees to list upcoming special events, items for sale or donation, job needs and opportunities, personal and group achievements, bookstore updates, and other newsworthy items.

To have information posted in the newsletter, please contact the church office by the 20th of the month preceding the distribution of the next month's newsletter. Suggestions on ways to improve the newsletter are always welcome -- please contact Kathi Olmstead.

Phone Ministry

The Phone Ministry reminds families listed in the fellowship directory of events such as the fellowship meal, men's breakfast, or other scheduled special church function. Nancy Bradt and Annie James graciously give their time by calling each family. To assist them in this ministry, please call the church office.

Political Awareness Ministry

Leslie Johnson is Grace Covenant's contact with the politics of our day. She graciously supplies us with necessary information to keep us aware of changes in the political climate which may have an effect upon our lives as citizens of God's kingdom. Please check the information table or the hall information board at the church for updates throughout the year.

Prayer Chain Ministry

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." - Romans 12:12

The church prayer chain was established to meet the urgent prayer needs within the church body at Grace Covenant. For any urgent prayer request, please call the church office. The elders will determine if there is a need to call the prayer chain coordinator to activate the prayer chain.

To have your name added to the list of prayer chain volunteers, please speak with Debby Vondra.

Reminder Card Ministry

The Reminder Card Ministry was established to provide a practical way of helping the brethren to remember their scheduled date to serve in a specific area of ministry. Reminder postcards are sent for the nursery and doorkeeper ministries. These cards serve as helpful physical reminders so that each volunteer can be faithful to the church body as much as is possible.

For further questions about this ministry, please contact the church or speak with Nancy Bradt.

Tape & Tract Ministry

"Therefore, go and make disciples in all nations." - Matthew 28:19a

The function of the Tract Ministry is to equip God's people with tools to reach out to others using short, but challenging, messages emphasizing God's Law, so that hearts might be convicted and minds challenged to repent of sin and believe on Christ. The primary function of the Tape Ministry is to record the weekly Sunday school messages and morning sermons for the purpose of distribution to the church body and the surrounding community.

If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact the church or speak with Mike Cavazos.

Web Site Ministry

The Church Web site provides resources for people to learn about Grace Covenant Church -- its beliefs, service schedules, church location, contacts, upcoming events, and many other useful information. The Web site is also a medium for sharing the Word of God as site visitors can listen online to sermons delivered by the church pastors and speakers from previous Sunday services.

If you would like to serve in this ministry, please contact the church or speak with Pastor Darrell Gustafson or Larry Lasco.
