"For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked." - Psalm 84:10

The ministry function is to graciously greet all those who arrive for worship, distribute bulletins, aid latecomers in finding seating, collect the offering, tithes and gifts, take a head count and clean up after the service. The Doorkeepers also help out with special services in the same capacity.

The ministry is very important in that the Doorkeepers are usually the first people that visitors meet. They are representatives of the church and how they act is the first impression visitors will have.
